Studio DO

A stone table with stone tableware and decorative stone objects - DO’s domestic and collectible objects range from candleholders to jewellery, vases and dining ware. With their typical procedures of drilling and slicing, they continue to create primitive features in rocks. Through a still life setup, DO showcases a view on their past and current projects. A moment to encounter new and unique pieces.

Based in Antwerp, DO is a stone cutting atelier founded by Dana Seachuga and Octave Vandeweghe in 2018. Driven by their affection for stone cutting, they research the material and cultural role of (gem)stones within the realm of functional objects. Using basic interventions, shapes and aesthetics, they try to search for the fundamental action to give a rock an archetypical feature.
